A retro style railway poster of Dungeness, Kent. Dungeness is an atmospheric place; it is one of the largest expanses of shingle in Europe, has two lighthouses, a power station, the fantastic Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, Derek Jarman's Prospect Cottage (horticulturalists and artists alike will be familiar with his famous garden) and an RSPB nature reserve. The area is classified as Britain's only desert.
This image was originally featured in Coast Magazine as one of seven posters commissioned by the magazine for an online auction in aid of the Marine Conservation Society. The auction was part of a campaign launched by Coast to revive the classic seaside poster, and drive UK ‘staycation’ holidaymakers to Britain’s beaches.
Poster is supplied unframed. Landscape format and tailored to fit a standard shop bought frame; so bespoke framing is not necessary. Delivery is free on UK orders.
Size: H40 x W50cm (15 ¾ x 19 ¾")
